FAQs

How long does it take you to create my custom wedding suite?

The estimated turnaround time for bespoke suites is 10—12 weeks, depending on the complexity of your unique stationery needs. Please also allow for communication time, shipping schedule, and assembly. I advise my couples to get in contact at least 6-12 months prior to their wedding so that I can secure a design start date and build a package custom-tailored to your stationery needs and wants.

How do I  place an order?

Simply fill out my contact form with the items you’re interested in, your budget, wedding date and a little bit about you and your other half. I’ll get back in contact within 48 hours.

Can I ask you to replicate a design I've seen elsewhere?

If you've seen a design you love elsewhere, I advise you to contact the original incredible designer and order from them, we would be violating copyright law if we replicated their work. We are happy to use an idea as inspiration for a bespoke suite.

What quantity should I order?

I recommend ordering stationery for 60% of your total guest number. Remember that you only need to send one invitation per household, not per guest. I think it’s a great idea however to consider ordering a little bit extra for keepsakes, and if you’re planning on handwriting envelopes or invites because mistakes can happen and reprints are expensive.

How can I address my guests on the invitation?

If you would like to personally address guests on your invitations, you may consider adding a line or space on which to handwrite or calligraph your guest names. The majority of my customers address their guests on the envelope only.

Do you accept international orders or photograph destination weddings?

Yes! Although I focus on providing Wedding Stationery and photography for the UK, I can ship and photograph all over the world.

Where are you located? And can we discuss our wedding needs in person?

I am located in Falmouth, Cornwall and yes I’d love for you to come by and have a chat! Please leave a message with a request to meet in your contact form.

Can you process rushed orders?

Rush orders need to be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please, send me a message when ordering with the subject RUSH ORDER, and tell me what items, quantities and specifications your order will be and I will reach out to you as soon as possible, to let you know whether I can fulfil your order.

When should I send my wedding stationery?

Your Save the Dates should be sent 6 to 8 months prior to your wedding. Wedding Invitations for local weddings should be sent out 6 to 8 weeks prior and 8 to 10 weeks prior to destination weddings. Remember to account for the delivery time needed to mail your envelopes to your guests.

Can I see sample stationery before purchasing my invitations?

Sure thing! Please note that I cannot personalise samples. Samples are a means to see the quality of printing and materials used. To purchase a sample set please message me on my contact form.

What is the turnaround time of a stationery order?

Every item has a specific turnaround time. As a general rule, my design process for invitations takes anywhere from 10—12+ weeks. This will vary depending on the number of revisions you request. Upon Final Proof approval, letterpress and foiled items take around 3—6 weeks to print and 3—4 weeks for digitally printed items. If your order includes embellishments like wax seals, ribbon, or envelope addressing this will add 1—2 weeks to your turnaround time.

What is the average investment for wedding stationery?

We understand every couple's needs are different, which is why I offer individual quotes instead of set prices for set quantities. A quote is largely based on the quantity requested. As a standard rule of thumb, the more you order the price per suite goes down as base costs, like foil and letterpress plates, are spread out across a greater quantity. For a custom letterpress design and suite, I recommend allocating from £1500.

Are all of your calligraphy and illustrations hand-written and drawn?

Yes! All calligraphy, venue illustrations, botanical sketches, etc. are created by Claire Rose Creative. This is one of many ways we guarantee heirloom-quality designs that are completely custom to each couple.

What are your ink colours, envelope colours, etc. options?

We do not have a set collection of ink and envelope colours for our couples to choose from. There are many shades of pink, for example, and we do not like to limit our couples.
